All facets of a Prep education call for participation by students, faculty, parents and administrators. Prep students are encouraged to become involved, not only on athletic teams, but with the schools clubs and activities. In addition to community service opportunities, all grade levels may join in these activities. The Lower School students have opportunities to run for Leadership Council, be involved in Performing Arts, join Big Buddies, Singing Dolphins, piano and strings. All first graders participate in Pooh Pals which matches a first grader with an upper school Senior mentor for fun activities throughout the year. When students move up to the Middle School they can seek positions on the Honor Council and Student Council, join performing arts, strings, piano or drumline in addition to Junior Beta Club and Relay for Life Community Service. In the Upper School, student club participation grows as students begin to pursue new and different experiences. Club meeting are scheduled during the school day and after school to allow for as much participation as possible. Available clubs in the upper school include: Sports National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Quiz Bowl, Math Team, Interact, Zonta, Chess Club, Speed & Strength, SALSA, Rocketry Club, Robotics Club, Big Buddies, Honor Council, Student Council, Junior Leadership, Performing Arts, Yearbook, Big Buddies, Pooh Pals, Senior Internships, Strings, Drumline, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and Students of Diverse Backgrounds. |
