Grade Point Average

Grade Point Averages, expressed on both a hundred-point scale and the 4.0 SC Uniform Grading Scale, are determined by averaging the weighted final grade for each course completed in the high school. In calculating the GPA, AP courses are weighted five points and Honors courses three points above the grade recorded on the transcript. Only courses taken at Hilton Head Prep are included in the GPA.

Class Rank

Because of the small and homogeneous makeup of the senior class, Prep does not rank students. A grade distribution by decile is provided.
