Summer Programs

Hilton Head Preparatory School Summer Programs provide an opportunity for every camper to develop skills and interests in a variety of areas. Enrollment is open to all in the community and are co-ed unless otherwise noted. Enrollment is limited and will be on a “first-come, first-served" basis.

We welcome friends, neighbors, Hilton Head Island & Bluffton residents and visitors! As camp sizes are limited, we encourage early registration. Please provide lunch for your child for full day camps if not included in description. For further information about offerings please email Liz Nash or call 843.715.8522. Tuition is required along with the online registration form to reserve a space in the Summer Camps.

Refund Policy

Refunds for Summer Programs will not be issued unless a camp is canceled due to inadequate enrollment. In the event Hilton Head Prep cancels a camp, you will be notified one week in advance, and will be refunded the total amount.

Discovery DayZ All Summer Long - Day Camp

Ages: 4 - 11

This camp promotes fun and fair play while playing games such as kickball, soccer, capture-the-flag, floor hockey, and softball. Campers will also have some down time, participating in non-competitive group activities and crafts. Local field trips will be offered throughout the summer. Campers will be grouped by age and ability and instruction will range from fundamentals to advanced.

Grades: Rising 3-8

Love all creatures great and small? Come explore the responsibilities in choosing and caring for the right pet in your household. Campers will also investigate animal-oriented careers and experience hands-on moments with many different types of animals.

Running Camp

Ages: Rising 6th Grade - 12th Grade

Beginners through Advanced

"Running with Passion in the Lowcountry" is a four-day running camp partnered with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). This camp will include assessments, daily workouts, and informational sessions with guest speakers. More information to follow!

Fundamental Basketball Skills Development Lessons

Focus on developing and improving individual basketball fundamentals to a game speed level, enabling players to incorporate their skills into real game action.

Les Fertig has 35 years experience as a high major basketball coach (University of Oklahoma, US Military Academy at West Point, Ohio State University, Indiana University, and Texas Tech University). Coach Fertig coached 37 NBA players and numerous others who have played professional basketball in Europe.

Hilton Head Prep Educational Courses & Camps

Countdown to college testing: Boosting your ACT & SAT scores

Grades: Rising Seniors ONLY (Limited to 12 students)

Sharpen your college admissions test taking skills and rocket your way to higher scores! Topics to be covered during this five-day workshop include:

Day 1: Flight Instructions: ACT/SAT Differences and Similarities. We will also explore the general strategies and approaches that have helped others increase their scores. Sample protocols for each of the Writing Essays will be shared & reviewed.

Day 2: English/Writing & Language. This morning will be filled with tips, strategies, & practice for the ACT English and SAT Writing and Language sections.

Day 3: Reading. This morning will be filled with tips, strategies, & practice for the Reading sections used in both tests.

Day 4: Science. You now probably know that this ACT section is not actually about Science! But you may not realize that ACT Science practice can also help you with the SAT Reading and Writing & Language sections. You will learn how as we provide tips and strategies to power you through ACT Science and these other sections.

Day 5: Math & Final Blast Off! You have studied the Math content in your school classes, but there are some strategies to apply for those questions that challenge you. You will learn about these. We will close our session with some tips about what you should do to continue preparing.

College Application Boot Camp

Grades: Rising Seniors ONLY (Limited to 20 students)

Prepare for the college application process! Topics to be covered during this four day course include:

Day 1: Choosing the "right" college - Naviance, college research, tools to use, what makes the right "fit", making a "colleges I am applying to list".

Day 2: Writing the personal statement/essay. Essay discussions, reading and first draft to be completed.

Day 3: The common college application and the academic calendar. Students will have time to fill out application, ask questions, discuss issues, fill out a calendar of deadlines, and get organized!

Day 4: Financial Aid and scholarships. Discussion about the FAFSA, CSS Profile, how to get scholarships, where to find scholarships, and philosophy of scholarships as well as college interview tips and one-on-one practice.

European Soccer Academy 2 Day Camps

Coed – All abilities

Ages: 8 and up

The highest level of soccer training by internationally qualified coaches providing a world class environment for all players to develop and learn new skills, improve their understanding of the game and ultimately become better players during the summer camp.

Time: U13’s 9am – 11am Drop-off starting from 8am, pick-up through 12pm

U14’s and older 3pm – 5pm Drop-off starting from 2pm, pick-up through 5:30pm

Location: Hilton Head Prep Athletic Field

Coaches: Selection of International coaches from Beaufort County Football Club who have extensive college, high school, and youth coaching experience.

Junior Sailing

Offered through the South Carolina Yacht Club, The Junior Sailing Program is established as the premier sailing program for Hilton Head Island juniors. Five levels of instruction are offered - Guppies, Learn to Sail, Intermediate, Optimist Development Team and Optimist Race Team. The entire SCYC Junior Sailing Staff is US Sailing certified.
