  • "Prep, in my mind, can be viewed as a tight knit family. Coming in as a junior I was able to get to know people in record time and they in exchange got to know me. For such a small school, the school offers a variety of diverse programs such as competitive sports, quality performing and visual arts, as well as leadership opportunities. I was lucky enough to participate in an array of extra curricular activities as well as finding intense academic support. I look back at Prep with nothing but fond memories and a sense of dolphin pride."

  • "Having moved to Hilton Head late in our boys’ educational careers, we were particularly happy to find Hilton Head Preparatory School. Not only is Prep an outstanding academic school that led both of our sons to the colleges of their choice, but it is a very familial environment with a level of care and concern for the students like none we have experienced at any other school.

Because of it’s size, Prep’s faculty, students and parents all tend to wear multiple ‘hats’ and work together in many different arenas. We felt very included in the Prep family from Day # 1.

Our oldest son graduated with honors after transferring to Prep as a senior. He is now a Junior in electrical engineering at Clemson University. Our youngest son graduated as the Salutatorian from Prep, and is now a Freshman at Wake Forest University. In addition to their academic preparation, Prep was efficient and quite thorough in the college application process.

Our sons both participated in multiple sports during their tenure at Prep. They were challenged regularly on all of the playing fields. The youngest was a member of the 2005 state championship football team. It was a very exciting season!

Community service is a major focus at Prep, and both of our boys learned the value of giving not only of finances, but of their time and talents.

Our sons have developed close relationships at Prep with students and faculty members. We are certain that these will prove to be invaluable relationships as their lives progress. We would strongly recommend Prep to anyone moving to the Hilton Head/Bluffton area. It is truly a school where the young people come first."

  • "We have been a Prep family for 8 years and are very pleased with the exceptional leadership, top notch teaching staff, and safe environment provided to our children. The curriculum offers higher levels of math and science than most schools as well as an outstanding humanities and arts education. Prep is developing the essential thinking skills that will help our children succeed in college and life."

  • "Hilton Head Prep is not only an incredible school, but also a caring family of which we are so proud to be a part of. When we moved to the island a few years ago with three young daughters we quickly discovered that HHP was the best educational option for our family. Upon our very first visit to the campus we encountered a warm and caring school community where everyone already knew our names and welcomed us with genuine excitement.

The experience and care provided by the teachers is second to none, and their incredibly dynamic and forward-thinking educational philosophy is not often seen in schools today. Our daughter Alexa is not only reading well beyond her grade level but also "loves math", something we never thought we would hear her say!

Prep has awakened the enthusiasm in our daughter to think and reason, to envision and create, to explore and discover, and to challenge herself to achieve more. Her success is simply a product of Prep's environment where she is inspired to be better and to champion herself and those around her."

  • "We transferred our son, JP, to Hilton Head Prep in 2006, his junior year. It is by far the best decision we have ever made regarding our son. We only wish we had done it sooner! Since attending Hilton Head Prep, JP’s grades have improved dramatically, he has had great experiences athletically but most of all he has matured into the young man we knew he had the potential of becoming."

  • "Over the past four academic years, I have worn a number of hats at Hilton Head Prep; substitute teacher, Marketing Committee volunteer, new teacher mentor and tutor/advisor. These roles have allowed me to more fully appreciate Prep’s role in growing great young people. Teaching the whole child respect and responsibility breeds a caring, productive community. Increasingly, I have witnessed excellence throughout the school. The budding scholars, athletes and artists who populate Prep are a credit to the faculty and to their parents. I am proud to know them."

  • "I didn’t think there would be a perfect school for me until I came to HHPrep in the 10th grade. I explored all the other schools in the area, and felt at home when I came to Prep. At HHP I’ve had the opportunity for leadership positions, right at the start, I immediately felt a part of the school community."

  • "Bryan graduated from Wake Forest University this past spring with a degree in Economics, having done very well academically in a very challenging academic environment. Lauran is also doing very well at the University of Tennessee having studied abroad last semester in Madrid, Spain. She is an advertising major with minors in Spanish and International Business.

We felt and still believe the academic programs at Prep were the most challenging on the Island and have been a sound contributor in our children’s post high school success. In addition, participation on athletic teams in a small school environment with a good athletic reputation was also important to their overall Prep experience.

We wish Prep, it’s current students, their families and future students considering Prep as smooth a transition to post high school life as we have enjoyed."

  • "Our family has two children currently enrolled in the lower school at Hilton Head Prep. What a joy it has been to see them evolve as members of this remarkably unique community. The academic curriculum is geared towards helping them gain skills that will assist them in achieving academic success. Our children are stimulated academically, but are also learning to take responsibility for their behavior and academic performance.

The Hilton Head Prep faculty and administration are clearly committed to developing innovative, compassionate and responsible students. The small teacher to student ratio allows the faculty to provide inspired leadership to every student at HHP. The faculty makes every effort to maintain a stable, caring and supportive family-like environment. As a result, our children are receiving a total education – one that reaches beyond the classroom to include social, moral and emotional growth.

Our family has been thrilled with our Hilton Head Prep experience. My husband had the joy of graduating from the school himself many years ago, and clearly enjoys nothing more than cheering for his alma mater along side his son and daughter."

  • "When we elected to educate our children by becoming part of the Hilton Head Prep School family, we made a fifteen year commitment. Over the years we have seen a quantum improvement in the school’s physical facilities. One thing has never changed. From our first day, the faculty’s high standards of professionalism, commitment, integrity and caring for the well being of our children has never waivered. If having people who truly care about your child’s education as a whole person matters to you, there is not a better school environment than HHP."

  • "It’s a very rare privilege to be able to attend a school where the modest class size instills a feeling of family, where the seniors and first graders know each other by name, where soccer practice can be taken to the beach, where winning state championships can become a reality. In the twelve years I attended Hilton Head Prep, from my first day of first grade to my graduation, I have formed many good memories to draw upon, and values to prepare me for the road ahead."
