Bakala Scholars Program

Hilton Head Preparatory School, a leader in education in South Carolina, seeks to attract and cultivate talented young people from the Low Country and beyond. A day and boarding school, we are positioned to provide opportunities for kids near and far who will be the future leaders of their communities and scholars who will help their peers do the same. As the leader in education on Hilton Head island, we seek to invite students from all backgrounds to share in the amazing opportunities on our campus.

Through the incredible generosity of the Bakala Family, we have established the Bakala Scholars Program which is a competitive merit based scholarship program, providing funding to students through partial scholarships of $5000, with additional support up to the full cost
of tuition based on demonstrated need. This program will not only provide incredible opportunities for the selected students, but also enrich our community and help us attract and retain young people who will do great things in and for the school.

The recipients of this competitive merit scholarship will demonstrate academic excellence with an unweighted GPA of 3.7 or hight (A- or higher). Have an excellent record of character and integrity. Demonstrate potential for leadership and positive impact on the community.

To be considered for additional need-based aid, families are encouraged to complete the SSS financial aid application available at the bottom of the page.
