September 2022 - Seton Tucker '89

In June of 2021, after the double homicide of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh, Seton Tucker '89 teamed up with Matt Harris a radio host in Charlotte to start the podcast, "Murdaugh Family Murders, Impact of Influence".
Seton became interested in the Murdaugh story in 2019 after the boating accident that killed Mallory Beach. "Having grown up in the area and a mother of children a few years younger, I felt connected to the story", says Seton. Her goal in starting the podcast was bringing attention to the victims in hope that they can get justice. The success of the podcast has exceeded her expectations and she is truly grateful to all of her listeners. Last December Seton was featured on an Oxygen documentary and has had over 4 million downloads.

Seton is a 1993 graduate of Wofford College with a degree in Art History. She has spent the last 17 years as a homemaker so starting a podcast was completely out of her wheelhouse. Seton currently lives in Fort Mill, SC with her husband and three children. Also, in 2022 Seton  and her husband cofounded a vintage trolley business, YoCo LoCo that offers brewery and private tours in York County, SC. If any alumni are in the area, they would love to have you hop on!
