Introducing Our New Head of Sea Pines Montessori at Hilton Head Prep

We are thrilled to welcome Deborah Yates back to Hilton Head Preparatory School as the new Head of our Sea Pines Montessori Division, beginning July 21!

Debbie brings an exceptional background in Montessori education, curriculum and instruction, literacy, and gifted education, along with a deep commitment to helping children, families, and educators thrive.

Her appointment is especially meaningful because it marks a true full-circle moment.

Debbie began her educational career right here, serving both Sea Pines Montessori Academy and Hilton Head Prep from 1990–1996. She has a unique appreciation for both Montessori and traditional educational approaches and the powerful ways they can work together to support every child.

Following a nationwide search, Debbie emerged as our top candidate, earning enthusiastic support from our Montessori faculty throughout the interview process. We are excited to welcome such an accomplished educator and respected leader back to our community.

As Debbie joins us later this month, she'll also help lead the reopening of our beautifully renovated Sea Pines Montessori Division. We can't wait to welcome our students back and share the incredible transformation of this special learning environment.
