The book motivated Becca to teach writing workshops and classes for youths, as well as for adults.

In 2020, Combining her degrees and certifications, Becca launched Female IQ (femaleIQ.com), a company that promotes female empowerment and addresses such women’s issues as mental health, fitness and parenting—just to name a few—through writing for multiple publications such as “CH2 Magazine”, “Local Life” and “Hilton Head Monthly” and the Female IQ Wellness Blog.

In addition to content, Female IQ also focuses on assisting women not only in childbirth but with pre and post natal support by designing client-specific yoga-Pilates-Barre workouts, nutrition/supplement recommendations and emotional guidance. Becca also works with women seeking a natural approach to hormone balancing, weight management, better sleep, anxiety reduction and fitness goals.

In 2003, Becca married Lee Edwards and all three of their daughters, Ransom (14), Ruth Love (13) and Camellia (11), attend Hilton Head Preparatory School. Avid sailors, the family has traveled extensively along the east coast and the Exuma and Abaco Islands and Becca has written several travel pieces about their adventures. Her family is also passionate about animal rescue and their menagerie includes ducks, bunnies, cats, dogs, lizards, turtles, birds and a ferret. Both Becca and Lee enjoy triathlons and are planning on doing a destination marathon soon.

Becca recently joined the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina board where she hopes to grow the adult learning and outreach programs and hopefully teach writing workshops. Becca also instructs a free MamaFit class (which combines yoga-Barre-Pilates for women and their infant children) every Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jarvis Creek Park.
